The Fullerton, California City Council and mayor welcomed ACES to its chamber on February 21, 2017, and heard a presentation by Dr. Richard Caso, ACES Foundation founder and CEO. Dr. Caso acknowledged Mr. Brendan O’Reilly’s invitation to use Fullerton Airport as the headquarters for our organization.
The presentation included the importance of volunteer pilots and aircraft to ferry medical supplies and equipment from airport to airport in times of natural or man-made disasters. Dr. Caso emphasized the importance of storing vital supplies and medical equipment that could be quickly deployed from strategic general aviation hangars located throughout the state of California. The strategic supply warehouses are located along major freeway routes but this could become a problem in the event of flooding, earthquakes, or traffic jams.
